Vaccination Campaign held at Gajera Vidyabhavan Katargam

“There is no higher religion than human service. To work for the common good is the greatest creed”.

As they say we learn from the past, vaccination or immunization did gain an impetus in our country since the onset of the twentieth century when our country faced the Pandemic of COVID 19. India has a universal multi-payer health care model. India always had a leading reputation in the field of medicine. It recognized the use of medicines for diseases far before anyone else in the world and even today, the basis of most modern medicines still boils down to the wisdom of Indian medical practices of years gone by.

When it comes to saving or caring about the people of our country the government leaves no stones unturned to help survive its citizens and takes various necessary steps coming up as a savior for its people, and it did the same when our country faced the COVID 19 pandemic. Starting from Lockdown to mass lightning of lamps, working on sound energy, etc to taking some massive decisions about medicine and medical facilities in India to starting the biggest Vaccination drive to safeguard our people from this fatal virus.

On 16 January 2021 India started its national vaccination program against the SARS-CoV-2 virus which has caused the COVID-19 pandemic. The drive prioritizes health care workers and frontline workers, and then those over the age of 60, and then those over the age of 45 and suffering from certain comorbidities.

Yet a lot of people seem to be unaware of the real facts of vaccination and are rather scared about the same; let’s discuss the same a bit, Vaccination: The act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease. Immunization: A process by which a person becomes protected against a disease through vaccination. This term is often used interchangeably with vaccination or inoculation. A vaccine activates our immune system. Many dangerous infectious diseases can be prevented in this simple and effective way. That’s the concept of Vaccination.

What is the concept of Vaccination?

Thus, keeping and understanding the same concept and maintaining our serve the mankind motto alive, we here at the Gajera trust organized a “Vaccination Camp” on 20/4/2021 (Tuesday) wherein we vaccinated one hundred and thirty (130) people altogether. This drive was carried on to motivate people to get vaccinated and save theirs as well as their relatives and neighbours, also it was to guide them that how even a single individual also makes a difference and it’s nothing to be feared about; several employees of Laxmi diamond volunteered and helped and worked with the Surat Municipal Co-operation doctors and co-workers jointly for continuous seven to eight hours non stop. Snacks for the patients as well as a full meal for the employees and officials of the SMC were also made available.

Thus, once again Gajera trust is always concerned and conscious when it comes to serving its people or humanity by and large.
